Kinga Zapert, Ph.D., Harris Interactive

Kinga Zapert, Ph.D., is a Vice President in the Health Care and Public Policy practice of Harris Interactive.  Since joining the firm in 1997, she has been responsible for conducting numerous studies in health care and health policy.  She specializes in rigorous, high-quality research, including high-profile publicly released studies, and has co-authored papers in peer-reviewed journals (e.g., Health Affairs, NEJM).  

She has experience with a broad range of health policy and market research.  Her recent research has focused on international health policy, direct-to-consumer advertising of prescription drugs, consumer-directed heath plans, compliance and disease management, patient safety and medical errors, healthcare quality, malpractice insurance crisis etc.   Kinga has extensive experience with survey design of quantitative and qualitative studies, involving a full range of data collection modes (e.g., large-scale telephone, Internet, mail, mixed-mode, and in-person surveys, as well as international surveys), and advanced statistical analysis.  Over the past several years, Kinga’s clients included many not-for-profit organizations such as universities, foundations, professional industry associations, as well as leading pharmaceutical companies, health insurance firms, medical device companies, etc.

Kinga received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Maryland in 1998.  She has a BA from the University of Wroclaw in Poland and an MA from the University of Maryland.  She is a member of the American Association of Public Opinion Research. She participated in the press event that launched www.MyBloodThinner.org in May 2006.
